A chili variety, slender and 10–25 cm in length with a slightly curved conical shape. Dark green, waxy and glossy skin. Slightly tangy flavour with a milder heat than the fully ripe red cayenne.
Provides vitamins A, C, B and E, potassium and calcium. Contains capsaicin, which helps stimulate the circulatory system and provides anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiparasitic properties.
Additional benefits include reducing pain, lowering blood sugar in diabetics, improving blood lipid profiles, healing ulcers, minimising nasal allergies, and reducing the risk of blood clots.
