A spicy chilli pepper, 5–15 cm long with a conical shape. Soft, smooth and shiny skin with thick, crunchy, watery flesh. Crisp and fresh flavour with a mild to moderate heat level.
Rich in vitamins A and C, potassium, carotene, folic acid, vitamin K, and B vitamins. Many of its health benefits come from capsaicin, the compound that gives peppers their heat.
Regularly eating green jalapeños can help speed up metabolism, assist in burning fat, and curb appetite. May also help prevent blood sugar spikes when eaten before a high-carb meal.
