A single cup of Helda beans provides about a third of the recommended daily intake of folic acid (vitamin B), necessary for the growth and development of babies and helping reduce the risk of certain birth defects.
Helda beans share the same core health properties as other green bean varieties, with differences mainly in colour and shape.
