Agroatlas signs collaboration agreements of the Remus program with the town of El Egido

Last Friday, February 14, the Town Hall of El Ejido organized an act of signing collaboration agreements under the REMUS Program, with the department of Social Services.

Richi Menoyo, our Sales Director, signed the agreement and the mayor of El Ejido, Francisco Góngora, with the Councilor for Social Services, Almudena Martínez, presented him with a plaque.

REMUS Program, this year has seen the addition of more companies, in total we have been 29 who have committed this 2020 to work together to promote the incorporation into the job market of people in the situation of special vulnerability.

The objective of the signing of collaboration agreements of each company within the REMUS Program, Network of Socially Responsible Municipal Companies, is to encourage the hiring of people who are at risk of social exclusion or at risk of being so, as well as those with disability residents in the municipality.

Francisco Góngora, Mayor of El Ejido, guided the signing act, together with Almudena Martínez, the Councilor for Social Services. As Francisco Góngora, Mayor of El Ejido, reminded, this initiative started back in 2014, “It is intended to contribute to greater social cohesion”.

Likewise, Nature Growers, our farming company located in Agadir (Morocco), develops a strong social commitment since its inception. We strongly believe in the need of improving the welfare of all the workers in our company and their families; and we do it through events like Women’s Day, delivery of school supplies to the children of employees, donations of clothes and toys to orphanages, Ramadan Kit for our staff, among other actions every year.
