Padrón pepper is a variety of chili, although they are not usually hot, some are slightly hot. In Spain we have a popular saying about these tasty peppers: “Padron peppers, some hot, some not”.
They are small peppers with a maximum length of 5cm, bright green and with an intense, sweet and slightly nutty flavour. They have a conical shape that tapers to a stemless end, dimpled and multi-lobed.
