Benefits of eating Red Fresno
Chilli peppers provide many health benefits, such as the capsaicin they contain, with antibacterial, anticancer, analgesic and antidiabetic properties, also reducing LDL cholesterol levels. Capsaicin is what gives its strong spicy character. Excellent source of vitamin C and vitamin B.
They also contain vitamin A and flavonoids such as ß-carotene, α-carotene, lutein, zea-xanthin and cryptoxanthin. Antioxidants that help protect the body from the harmful effects of free radicals generated during stress and disease conditions.
Red fresno also has a large amount of minerals such as manganese, iron, magnesium and potassium. Potassium helps control heart rate and blood pressure.
