Green Cayenne peppers are a variety of chilli. They belong to a group of narrow peppers, 10 to 25 cm long, have a straight to curved conical shape that tapers to a pointed tip. The skin is dark green and waxy, shiny and smooth. Green cayenne chillies have a slightly acidic taste, with a hint of spiciness that is somewhat milder than that of the ripe red cayenne.

These peppers also contain capsaicin, although their content is slightly lower than in their fully ripe red variety, but in the same way the capsaicin in this type of green cayenne pepper helps stimulate the circulatory system due to its antioxidant property, having also anti-inflammatory properties with antibacterial and antiparasitic action.
Other benefits include reducing pain, lowering blood sugar in diabetics, improving blood lipid profiles, healing ulcers, minimizing nasal allergies, and reducing the risk of blood clots.
